GRAMEEN BANK

Grameen Bank is one of the oldest poverty-oriented microloan institutions, founded by Muhammad YUNUS, who received the Nobel peace prize of 2006 for this support to people living below the poverty line; the Grameen Bank grants so-called entrepreneurial self-help micro loans to the destitute and thereby helps them to set up and keep up new businesses.
