Mercado Común del Sur, founded 1991 in Ascunción as South American free trade area with the member states Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay (all of them since 1991), Venezuela (since 2005), and the associated countries Chile (1996), Bolivia (1997), Peru (2003), Ecuador and Colombia (both since 2004).
